Status of Development Projects Within WRCA’s Boundaries
Keith Sharward, Co-founder and Board Member

There are two development projects within our boundaries — AT&T’s communications tower at Witter Ranch Park and an senior assisted living facility next to Atrium Court Apartments on Duckhorn Drive. Keith will share some high level information on those projects and their status.

6:50 – 7:25
Development in North Natomas
Special Guest: Kevin Greene, Mayor Pro Tem Angelique Ashby’s Chief of Staff

On April 1, 2015, the de facto building moratorium that began in December 2008 due to federal decertification of the levees that surround Natomas was officially lifted, and our city council approved an ordinance that allows building to resume. There are many questions about how this will impact our neighborhood and nearby areas. Kevin Greene is Mayor Pro Tem’s Angelique Ashby’s new chief of staff and he will be prepared to discuss her vision for further development in North Natomas.

On Monday, March 30, Sacramento Kings Chairman Vivek Ranadive promised action on having a vision for reuse of the existing arena property and expects to have a vision by the end of the year.

7:25 – 8:00
Sacramento Police Department
Special Guest: Paul Troxel, Communications Supervisor, Sacramento Police Department

We are privileged this quarter to welcome Paul Troxel from Sacramento Police Department’s communications center. He will be prepared to discuss police dispatch operations and protocols and will give us advice on being more effective in our calls for police services. We will also have opportunity to speak freely about our experiences so that Paul can address any concerns we may have.

Notice: Out of courtesy to meeting attendees, audio and video recording is prohibited without (1) announcement to all in attendance in advance of commencing any recording, (2) approval of a majority of board members present, and (3) a legible sign being affixed in the meeting area to alert attendees arriving after the announcement is made.
